Behind these photos. The National Arboretum was photographed on the third day of opening. Each interior set-up was shot multiple times when people were in different positions. Selected people from selected captures were recombined into the final images to enhance the composition. Sorry if you were there and I deleted you. :) The first exterior was shot at dawn of the opening morning. It would be the only time the lights would be on that early to capture the morning light on the darker western sky behind. The sun sets behind the building. So if it was shot at sunset, the time when the sky behind would be dim enough to reveal the internal illumination, the ground in front would be a black silhouette.
